Privacy policy

We treat your birth details as personal data and collect as little as possible.

Last updated 4 November 2026

What we collect

  • Account data: name, email address and a securely hashed password (or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google).
  • Birth profiles: date, time and place of birth that you choose to save. We only store them after you give explicit consent.
  • Saved items: readings you save and, if you are signed in, your AI assistant conversations.
  • Billing: subscription status and invoices. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment provider and never reach our servers.
  • Technical data: a hashed form of your IP address for rate limiting and abuse prevention, and essential cookies (see our cookie policy).

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell your data or use advertising cookies.
  • We don’t log birth dates, birth places or chat content in application logs.
  • Birth details entered in the free calculators are used to compute the result and are not stored.

The AI assistant

Your questions are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate an answer. Your saved birth chart is only shared with the assistant if you switch on “Let the assistant read my saved chart”. You can switch it off at any time in settings.

Service providers

Depending on the features you use, data is processed by our hosting and database providers, Anthropic (AI answers), our email provider (account and newsletter emails) and Razorpay or Stripe (payments). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

Your rights

In account settings you can download all your data, revoke consents (which deletes saved birth profiles), and permanently delete your account. You can also contact us at hello@dailyhoroscope.ai. We respond within 30 days.

Retention

We keep account data until you delete your account. Billing records may be kept longer where tax law requires. Deleted accounts are removed from the live database immediately and from backups within 35 days.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and access is limited to authorised staff with audited, role-based permissions.
